VENEZIA DAL TRAMONTO ALL’ALBA. Sono ritornato a Venezia dopo più di 10 anni. Ovviamente la città non ha perso niente del suo fascino. Con un gruppo di amici fotografi, guidato da Maurizio Verdecchia, un campione della fotografia del paesaggio cittadino notturno, ho realizzato una serie di immagini tra i canali e le calli veneziane, al tramonto, in una notte con un cielo stellato ed all’alba. Ho cercato di trasferire sulle fotografie il colore dei muri scrostati, la misteriosa oscurità di alcuni angoli, il fascino dell’acqua cheta dei canali piena di riflessi, il silenzio e la solitudine della notte quando i turisti oramai dormivano nei loro alberghi. Qui sotto ho riportato una selezione dei numerosi scatti realizzati.
VENICE FROM DUSK TO DAWN. I came back to Venice after more than 10 years. Obviously, the city has lost none of its charm. With a group of photographer friends, led by Maurizio Verdecchia, a champion of night-time urban landscape photography, I made a series of images among the Venetian canals and calli, at sunset, on a night with a starry sky and at dawn. I tried to transfer onto photographs the colour of the peeling walls, the mysterious darkness of some corners, the charm of the still water of the canals full of reflections, the silence and solitude of the night when tourists were sleeping in their hotels.
